Suppose the following situation: The red buttons have been pressed and mankind is about to destroy itself. Now, at this very moment an extraterrestrial intelligence saves us and life on earth. – A crazy and naive optimistic imagination? For shure, we´ll say.
Our reality looks like this: The more we begin to help ourselves by getting our house in order, the more will we be helped from outside and one day universe will be open to us. (Sorry, that sounds a little bit too religious.)
And who knows – alien life can´t be completely discounted and maybe our living planet is very valuable to others too…
